Planning to create a visual novel game

Hi people-who-still-bother-to-read-these-blogposts-which-I-really-appreciate-btw! ^-^/

Okii so I got really inspired by the visual novel games from NTT Solmare & Voltage inc. Been an avid fan eversince they came out with one of their first games (Pirates in Love // Heian Love) and now I'm planning to create one myself with Ren'Py . I've been studying things with codes and stuff since last year, so I know some noobish-beginner stuff about codes (I remember downloading Ren'Py when I was lower than noob-level, the codes made my brains explode, I didn't even understand what I didn't understand ;; ).

I still gotta attempt to create games in Unity. I hopee to get the hang of it quickly since I followed extra courses on how to create games in Construct2.

Buut anyways, back to what I originally wanted to write about. The visual novel. So yeah, it's gonna be otome ofc. Only thing what really overwhelms me is the amount of things you have to do. Usually people work in a team, but since I'm on my own I gotta create:

- The art (characters in different emotional states, landscapes/ backgrounds, CG's)

- The story (what do they say? how can the reader feel like they're the MC? yada yada)

- The music (Composing at least 3/4 soundtracks in Garageband)

- The code (when do characters appear, fade, next scene starts, timing dialogue with character appearance yada yada)

- Animated trailer for the story

But I like doing it, so it doesn't really matter :)

Genres/Themes: romance (obv.), comedy, popstar/idol drama, drama, magical creatures, princes, gangs, first love, highschool drama, hostclub~

If somehow I could make it through the art & story phase, I will update my progress & eventually (maybe in 100 years or so) post the game on this site once I figure out how to upload the game online.
